What To Expect From Google Penguin 2.0 Roll Out

Another SEO update – Yay NOT!

Earlier this month (May 2013) Matt Cutts and his spam team advised that they had been working on the deployment of Penguin 2.0, developed to once again deal with Blackhat SEO.

He released a video of what the update was going to address here.

A few days ago (22 May 2013) Matt advised that the roll out had been completed and affects approx 2.3% of US English speaking queries. He also noted that the other languages have also been completed. See his post here.

So what does that mean for us?

In Matts video he talks about how the new algorithm was going to take into consideration the small business owner who play by the rules and that the algorithm is designed to take them into consideration. So anyone that is new to SEO can breathe a sigh of relief, so long as they are playing by the rules.

Here’s the video from Matt on what to expect in the new update.
